The seasonal final to our Short Mat Triples Competition was played on Thursday (19th) morning. It was a closely fought game with Kevin and Gill Hodgkinson and Richard Cadd pulling away at the end to finish winners with a score of 20-9. Congratulations also to runners up Cynthia May, Anne Cadd and Sarha White. It was a lovely game played with the usual fun and banter followed by a great Christmas lunch.
On Saturday 9th November 42 members and friends enjoyed an excellent meal at the Brendon Arms.
This was followed by our Annual Presentations. Our guest this year was Group2 Assistant Administrator Jennie Dyer and her husband Bernie.
Jennie congratulated Bude Club on their successes within the County and Group this year and thanked us for our hospitality throughout the season.
She then presented the trophies to winners and runners up of the club competitions this year.
Special awards were made as follows:
Men’s player of the year (most points) Steve Hall
Ladies player of the year Gill Hodgkinson
Most improved player Gill Hodgkinson
Club member of the year Jonathan McConnell

Closing Day is here, we ordered the weather which was superb, a great afternoon bowling followed by a quiz and fish and chips. Many thanks to all members that attended the closing day 🥂
