The final of our Short mat pairs competition was played on Wednesday 25th, with Anne Cadd and Clive Ward up against Paul White and Jason. Bayliss.
It was a very close game and after 17 ends the score was 15-15. Then followed some very good bowling on the last end, which had the spectators on the edge of their seats, as Paul and Jason got the winning shot.
This was followed by a delicious buffet lunch for players and spectators and prizes were presented by the Club Vice-President Gill Hodgkinson.
Thanks to all those who had contributed to, and prepared, the lunch, and also to Anne for running the short mat again this winter.
